eBird is a Cornell University database of bird sightings all over the world submitted by birders. The data for British Columbia contains over 300,000 checklists and 500 species. Notable sightings, hotspots list, hotspots map, species map.
Website of the British Columbia Field Ornithologists. The BCFO organizes multiple two-day trips birding trips for members as well as hosts an annual conference. It also publishes BC Birding quarterly which contains relevant news items as well as British Columbia Birds, the annual journal of record for the BCFO Bird Records Committee.

Province-wide online groups

A very active and diverse group meant for all, from beginners to advanced. Focuses on sharing bird photographs and identification help.
Fairly active birding forum, with sections for the various regions of British Columbia as well as more general bird identification and photography sections.
BC-wide mailing list intended to complement the regional mailing list listed in the section below. Requires full real name. Low traffic.
Flickr group for sharing photographies of wild BC-native species. Requires tagging of the photographs with common and scientific names per Clements 5th edition.
